A two-vehicle collision at an Escondido intersection sent more than a dozen people to hospitals Thursday.
The crash at Juniper Street and Second Avenue occurred about 2 p.m., according to the Escondido Police Department.
The collision caused one of the vehicles to veer out of control and plow into a commercial structure, Sgt. Lee Stewart said.
Paramedics took 13 people to hospitals for treatment of various injuries – none believed to be life-threatening – and precautionary evaluations, according to police.
