San Diego police looking for a man who escaped custody by opening the door and leaving the station, the department said in a release Wednesday.
Dandre Lamonte Johnson, 27, escaped police “by opening the door to the holding cell and exiting the police station by running out of Central Division onto the Imperial Avenue side of the station,” the release said.
Law enforcement describes Johnson as a Black man, 6’1” and 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, pants and black tennis shoes, and two pairs of handcuffs.
SDPD’s VICE unit generally handles crimes related to adult entertainment, gambling, prostitution, or alcohol.
