San Diego law enforcement is looking for information about a man who reportedly approached children in a Skyline-area park, told them he was a police officer, and tried to lure them into his vehicle.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the man went up to a 9-year-old and a 12-year-old at around 10 a.m. Monday at Keiller Park on Woodrow Avenue and tried to lure them into his car.
“Thankfully, the children were suspicious of the man’s behavior and did not follow him,” SDPD Detective David Kean said. “Instead, they told an adult.”
The adult called the police.
The suspect was last seen heading east on Lisbon Street.
The man is described as late 20s, between 5’4″ and 5’6″ with a thin to medium build, and with shoulder-length black hair and a tan complexion. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with white horizontal stripes, black pants, and white shoes.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact SDPD Det. David Kean at (619) 527-3552 ,or dkean@pd.sandiego.gov.
