Have a youngster who’d be thrilled to sit at a table with Elmo? Sesame Place San Diego has a great new attraction for you.
The Chula Vista park on Friday launched the new interactive experience, “Dine with Elmo & Friends” at the Sunny Day Café, also newly opened.
The immersive experience – already popular, with bookings hard to come by – allows guests to dine alongside Elmo and other favorite furry friends, with singing, dancing and photo opportunities too.
“We’re excited to officially open ‘Dine with Elmo & Friends’ and offer our guests a new way to interact and spend time with their favorite Sesame Street friends,” said Genaro Castro, vice president of Sesame Place San Diego. “… This unique, immersive experience will create new, lifelong memories for our guests and provides a new way to celebrate special events at the park including birthdays, holidays and more!”
The Sunny Day Café, an air-conditioned, indoor dining room on the Sesame Street Neighborhood, seats up to 160 guests. Each “Dine with Elmo & Friends” is approximately one hour long and includes a buffet-style family meal and exclusive entertainment.
Reservations for “Dine with Elmo and Friends” start at $45 for adults and children 10 years and older, and $25 for children ages 3 to 9. Children under 3 are free but require a reservation.
Park admission also is required to attend. It is strongly recommended to make reservations in advance of the park visit.
Sesame Place San Diego, open year-round, offers rides, seasonal water slides, shows, parades, the interactive Sesame Street Neighborhood and other opportunities to visit with favorite Sesame Street characters.
