Yelp has announced its Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S. just in time for Valentine’s Day and four of the eateries are in San Diego.
More than half of Yelpers make their romantic dinner plans at the last minute, according to the web site. So, with Valentine’s just a week away, here’s some ideas.
Cesarina in Point Loma made Yelp’s Top 5. One reviewer raved “service is always a hit and they’re super attentive. Even if you’re sitting outside, it’s still such a nice ambiance – they even give you lap blankets for those who run cold.” Another singled out the table-side tiramisu service, saying she “really appreciated these touches for special nights.”
The other Yelp romantic choices for San Diego:
- Siamo Napoli, North Park, No. 22; many reviewers gave kudos to owners Giovanni and Flavio. “They want to make sure everyone is happy,” one wrote. Another thanked the restaurant “for making our wedding celebration an unforgettable experience.”
- Piacere Mio, South Park, No. 55; a reviewer called it “a very cozy little restaurant,” while another wrote, “the low lighting really sets a great mood and the ambiance is lovely.”
- Et Voilà French Bistro, Normal Heights, No. 81; a “hidden gem” that is “ideal for a date if you are looking to impress someone,” a reviewer said. Another added, “if you want something elevated and delicious, I would highly recommend this place.”
In addition, beyond San Diego, but nearby, The Goat & Vine in Temecula made the list at No. 13, as did Nonno’s Ristorante in Murrieta at No. 18.
Yelp’s romance list comes on the heels of its Top 100 Places to Eat in the U.S. announcement, which also included four local restaurants.
